My 5th graders are in the middle of an expository essay unit. To get them excited about writing, I added Google Earth into the mix. We are creating a "ping" on the globe, marking our animals point of origin. The students are adding the introduction to the "ping" and a Creative Commons image of their animal. Hoping I have enough time to bring everything all together before the end of the school arrives! Enjoy listening to our latest on the trials and tribulations of creating a Google Earth tour.
